Beech lumber: white and lightly heat treated

Produced from timber originating from the Darzlubsko-Oliwska Forest, considered by many to be the best beech timber source in Poland. The lumber is renowned for very small proportions of hard inclusions and unified coloring.

To meet our customers’ expectations, our beech lumber is sold in the following versions: dried white (8-12%), lightly heat treated (8-12%), and special ordered fully heat treated lumber (8-12%). Furthermore, we are able to provide special ordered custom sizes.

MGJ offers white beech lumber in the following thicknesses:

  • wet: every thickness (must be consulted with sales representative)

Beech lumber lightly heat treated – in the following thicknesses:

  • dry: 26, 32, 50mm in all quality grades

Regional oak lumber

Obtained from timber originating in Kujawy, Wielkopolska and Masuria. Characterized by a light, unified color, excellent structure, straight fibers, and proper firmness. All of the abovementioned qualities are relevant aesthetically and from the point of view of production. Before the drying process lumber is seasoned, which facilitates future processing.

Lumber is offered in the following thicknesses:

  • dry (8-12%): 26mm (sporadically 50mm) in all quality grades (classes I/II/III according to PN standards).
  • wet: every thickness (must be consulted with sales representative)

Apart from long lumber, our offer includes shorts (26mm thick), which are excellent for customers manufacturing short elements, often pigmented.

European oak lumber (German)

German lumber has one great advantage: it is wide and long, which is significant from the point of view of productivity. The lumber is available in various quality grades: A, AB, B, BC, but we know from experience – backed by years of selling German oak – that the best grade for regional manufacturers is German class B (I/II); which undoubtedly has the best quality to price ratio.
Our German oak lumber is sold in the following sizes:

  • dry: 26, 32, 40, 45, 52mm (35mm and 63-65mm can be custom ordered), in any quality grade
  • wet: unavailable

EUROPEAN OAK QUALITY GRADES:

  • Class A (deluxe)

- Both sides w/o defects. Possibility to procure elements over 2.5 meters long.

  • Class AB (I)

- Generally one side without defects (one defect per board is possible)
- small knots are permissible (up to 50mm) and small core cracks
- if more defects occur they are eliminated, but in a way that enables obtaining at least 1 element 2 meters long and 100mm wide.

  • Class B (I/II)

- Defects on both sides are acceptable in the form of knots and cracks. The sum of knots per board cannot exceed 15cm
- If the number of defects is exceeded, they must be eliminated, but in a way that enables obtaining elements 800-2000mm long and 100mm wide.
- insects in pale sapwood permissible, but must be reduced

  • Class B/C (II/III)

- defects can occur without limits (knots, cracks, discolorations, holes made by insects)
- possible to obtain elements 400 to 800mm, but on these elements small knots and holes made by insects are not counted as defects

Measurement method – entire surface (with pale matter), on board’s finer side. In the case of thicknesses exceeding 32mm one edging.
